Serengeti Trails – Tanzania Wildlife Photography Tour

Tanzania is home to an astonishing diversity of wildlife, offering photographers endless opportunities to capture nature at its rawest and most beautiful. The Serengeti hosts some of the world’s most iconic species — from the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Buffalo, and Rhino) to swift Cheetahs, elegant Giraffes, and massive Hippos crowding the Mara River. The Great Migration brings millions of Wildebeest and Zebras across the plains, creating dramatic moments of river crossings and predator-prey interactions that define African wilderness. In Tarangire National Park, herds of Elephants and towering Baobab trees dominate the landscape, offering perfect compositions for wildlife and landscape photographers alike. Every moment in the field brings the potential for rare sightings — from Bat-eared Foxes and Servals to Secretary Birds and Ostriches, making this tour a paradise for any wildlife photographer seeking variety and visual drama.

Day 1 : Arrive in the evening, we will pick you from Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer to your hotel at Arusha. We’ll introduce you to your guide, give you a taste of what lies ahead. Night at Karibu Heritage House. (Dinner)

 Day 2: In the morning after breakfast, you’ll get in a 4×4 Land Cruiser safari vehicle ready for a drive and safari at Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park has the highest population density of elephants in Tanzania. There are also the migratory wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, impalas, gazelles, hartebeests and elands. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. After a whole day game drive, you will be transferred to your booked lodge in the evening for dinner, warm shower and overnight stay. Night at Marera Valley Lodge.  Day 3 : Early morning after breakfast we will checkout and head towards Central Serengeti National Park via Ngorongoro Highlands. In the afternoon we will go for a guided game drive through Central Serengeti National Park. It’s here in the heart of the park that you find the densest concentrations of wildlife. Big cats and elephants are frequently seen in this area, and this section of the park is rich in acacia trees and big Serengeti horizons. Night at Shuhudia Adventure Camp. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

 Day 4 : Today after breakfast we will drive from Central to Northern Serengeti National Park. Since you will already be inside the park we will get to have a guided transfer game drive. We will explore on our way as we drive you around to look for animals. In the afternoon we will explore the northern Serengeti and get to know one of the park’s most beautiful corners. This is also the area of the park that sees the fewest visitors, which means you can enjoy the river, grasslands, rocky scenery and the animals without interruption. Night at Pamoja Migration Camp.  Day 5 & 6: The next two days we will spend exploring Northern Serengeti. After an early breakfast we will go for a full-day guided game drive for a fantastic opportunity to see some of the animals you came this far to see. Northern Serengeti being close to the Tanzania-Kenya border, the Mara River in this region offers the most dramatic river crossing of the great migration. Fierce, deep and heavily rain fed the river takes an enormous toll on the migrating wildebeest. Watching the wildebeest surging through the torrential flow, some drowning and a few falling prey to lurking crocodiles is an unforgettable sight. If it’s your lucky day you will be able to witness this natural wonder and watch nature take its course. Night at Pamoja Migration Camp. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

 Day 7: After an early breakfast we will go for a transfer game drive from Northern Serengeti to Central Serengeti National Park. You’ll get to know the Serengeti and its colorful cast of characters even better with another day immersed in its wild beauty. Rest of the day you will be heading down more safari trails in search of animals in Central Serengeti National Park. Experience classic safari scenery with acacia trees and savannah grasslands, as well as plenty of wildlife. Night at Shuhudia Adventure Camp. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

 Day 8: After an early morning breakfast we will go for our last game drive in Central Serengeti. Witness the beautiful sunrise and make some beautiful captures during the golden hours. It is one of the most beautiful natural sights in Africa. In the afternoon we drive back to Arusha. Night at Karibu Heritage House. (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

 Day 9: As your safari comes to an end, we look back on our time together and the wonderful safari memories that we’ve shared. After breakfast we will transfer you to the Kilimanjaro Airport. (Breakfast)

Please note: Please book your flights keeping in mind the trip start time on Day 1 and end time on Day 9. In case you have to stay an extra day at Arusha before or after the trip, the hotel booking has to be made by you.
